I like the big digits. I read the other review and mine works fine on the C and F switching thing. When I turn my unit off and on, it comes back on in the last scale that it was in when I turned it off. I use only F so when the little switch in the back is in F, mine stays in F all the time. The C scale works the same. Personally I don't use the outdoor sensor so I like the way the in/out function works. I wouldn't want it to automatically toggle between in and out as the other reviewer suggests. I would say this unit is probably best for reading the room conditions. You don't need to plug the outdoor sensor into the unit.

The big gray unlabeled button at the bottom center of the display turns the thermometer on and off. Unfortunately, as soon as it is touched, the device defaults back to Celsius, requiring the user each and every time unmount the thermometer from the wall, turn it over, and press the F-C button to flip it back. The unlabeled on-off button is twice the size of the indoor/outdoor toggle (marked Outdoor), pretty much guaranteeing frequent error.

A careful reading of the ad copy also reveals that, while it shows temp and humidity for indoor, it only shows temp for outdoor. One might assume, then, that the humidity wouldn't show when set on Outdoor. However, in outdoor-mode, the device continues to display the humidity reading for indoors, leading users to believe that they are looking at the outdoor reading.

Finally, while the display digits are huge, the "Out" display (meaning Outdoor) is tiny; a reading seen from more than a few feet away could be either indoor or... Read more
