1.0 out of 5 stars You REALLY don't need these., September 15, 2011

The Thermapen already comes with batteries. They will last for 1500 hours. If you left the Thermapen on for an hour a day every day, they would last for over four years. However, the Thermapen has auto-off so the original batteries should last even longer. I didn't buy these so maybe they are decent batteries but you really don't need them. I gave these a single star because I think somebody is trying to make a buck that you don't really need to spend. The CR2032 battery is very common and you can buy them almost anywhere. I see these are not offered on amazon by Thermoworks so they won't even come with the thermapen shipment so why buy them? Order them in five years when you finally need them. Then you won't have to hunt through the house to remember where you put them.

1.0 out of 5 stars Really!, April 27, 2012
This review is from: Set of 2 batteries for the Splash-Proof Thermapen
Jeez, just do a simple Google search and you can get CR 2032 batteries for as low as .22 cents a piece! No, I'm not talking about unknown brands. Never, and I mean NEVER purchase batteries from the manufacturer of any given product as you'll only get ripped off. Mind you, I have the Thermapen and I absolutely LOVE it, but I'll just never fathom the idea that so many people feel that the batteries needed for any given product are specially made for that product and that you MUST order them from the place you purchased your item from.

I bought these because Thermapens have traditionally gone through batteries fast. But the new ones are many times more efficient, so you may as well wait until the LCD starts getting weak before you order new ones.
