(Kansas) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Digital Alarm Thermometer We purchased this because our teenagers would sometimes not get our upright freezer door closed and the items in the door (usually ice cream) would melt and create a huge mess. We purchased this so that if the door was not completely closed it would alert us with an alarm. So far this hasn't happened, however, when putting groceries up and having the door open longer than usual the alarm does go off until the correct temperature range is achieved. We placed the probe on the top shelf of the door closer to the hinged side and placed the unit on top of the freezer so that the wire wouldn't get tangled when placing items in the freezer. So far it seems to work well. |
